Lagniappe Award
Lagniappe embodies the spirit of giving—a gesture of generosity and offering “a little something extra” to those around us. Deeply rooted in New Orleans culture, this tradition also lies at the heart of Neaux La Made. The Lagniappe Award was established as a means to support Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) and give back to the community that continues to inspire us.
Since 2023, qualified students have received funding through the Lagniappe Award, which helped cover expenses related to the National Certification Exam, the AANA Annual Congress, and hands-on regional anesthesia training labs.
The Lagniappe award is available to applicants who…
• are enrolled full-time in a Nurse Anesthesia Program that is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and in good standing.
• are 2nd or 3rd year student registered nurse anesthetist.
• are from an underserved background and display financial need.
